TriMotoRevival is about my experiences reviving Triumph motorcycles made in Hinckley the 1990's. These are the so-called 'T300' models, using the Hinckley factory codes for machines of this era. I started it to document the process of renovating my Lancaster Red 1991 Triumph Trophy 1200, VIN #544. Since I completed the rebuild on #544, I've added written about trips, other early Hinckley bikes, and work on my Racing Yellow 1994 Triumph Daytona 900. I hope you enjoy what you find here.

Main stand after painting
Here it is with the weld to reinforce top tube and lower curved sections. Sorry it's so horrible - it was difficult to get a clean run because of the rust still in there. Oh well.
The finish is zinc primer with a top coat of an International black paint. It's not quite as shiny as Smoothrite but I'm not sure about the surface. It doesn't seem as robust. We'll see how it fairs in action ... eventually :-)

It's not horrible, it's organic ;-) Mine would be the same were it not for significant investment in grinding wheels.
What's the paint on it? The finish looks like plastic coating.
Looks rather fine.
